Hi! I’m Chris, an independent recording engineer, music producer and performing musician. I’m passionate about capturing great sounds and collaborating with bands, songwriters and solo artists. Got a project in mind? Let’s make something awesome together.
I’ve been working as a producer and recording engineer for over a decade, with credits on releases by artists including Sinead Campbell, VENT, Dilettante, Treeboy & Arc, Phoebe Marshall, Team Picture and W. H. Lung.
Depending on the project, I take on roles ranging from recording and mixing to co-writing, producing, mastering and live session engineering. My goal is always the same - to help artists realise their creative vision in a collaborative and inspiring environment.
Whether it’s a demo, EP, or full-length album, I bring a wide skillset and supportive, artist-first approach. Clients often describe my sessions as creative, calm and open - a place where you can experiment and sound your best.

I’m a guitarist, bassist, synth player and vocalist who’s been an active part of the Leeds music scene for over 15 years. I currently play bass, synth and backing vocals for the acclaimed Manchester synth-pop band W. H. Lung. Since 2017, we’ve toured across the UK, Europe and the USA with major festival appearences at Glastonbury, SXSW, Latitude, Bluedot and Pinkpop.
In 2024, I contributed to W. H. Lung’s album Every Inch of Earth Pulsates, working closely with producer Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, M.I.A). The band has also recorded live sessions for BBC Radio 1 at Maida Vale and Audiotree in the USA.
Beyond W. H. Lung, I’m the bassist and producer for VENT, a Leeds-based “new romantic power disco” project, and have toured as a live bassist for American songwriter Jonathan Wyndham. Previous projects include playing electric percussion in FWAR, keyboards in Team Picture, and guitar/vocals in indie pop outfits Actor and The Witch Hunt.
I’m also a core member of the Hootenanny house band - a monthly night in Leeds where singer - songwriters perform with a full live band, unrehearsed. It’s spontanious, high energy and one of my favourite ways to stay connected to the local music community.
One of my more theatrical highlights was being David Bowie for the Brudenell Social Club’s New Year’s Eve party. An unforgettable night of glitter, chaos, and ‘Heroes’.
Here are some kind words from people I have helped with their music
“Working with Chris has been wonderful: he has been such an important part of my musical journey as a singer songwriter. Chris has a wealth of musical knowledge, experience and repertoire. I have been able to create my best work with him: he is supportive and takes the time to understand my goals and who I am as an artist. I feel comfortable to be myself and always enjoy creating music with him. ”
“We worked with Chris on various occasions over the past 5-6 years and always had a great time working together. Chris creates a really nice and calm atmosphere where you feel like you can fully experiment. He’s an ace producer with some great ideas and we were always super pleased with the final product!
”
“Chris is just phenomenal. I’ve had the pleasure of working on two projects with him recently and, despite them being of very different styles, both have come out sounding amazing. On top of mixing (and mastering if you so choose) a great final track, he’s an absolute pleasure to work with in the studio. He perfectly strikes that balance between providing great input, and not stepping on any creative toes. Oh, and there’s always coffee ready and waiting. He’ll do right by you and your music!”
“Chris makes it super easy to get the most out of your music. He has an endless patience, the likes of which are rarely seen outside of a monastery. As well as his musical patience, Chris also has a boatload of empathy for the struggles of making music both professionally and recreationally and is absolutely full of sage advice. Chris also has great taste in comedy shows and has shown me many a youtube clip that I will treasure always. As well as being an absolutely top musician, sound engineer and producer Chris is an absolutely top guy.”
“Chris has been bringing my music to life for the past 5 years now. 7 songs later, I would still always choose to work with him. He’s always made me feel comfortable in the studio which allowed me to be open with my ideas. He’s a laugh to be around and always brings an amazing creative input to any track. ”
